Wonder Notes
Privacy Policy
Wonder Notes is built to be simple and private. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens with your data when you use the app.
The short version
Wonder Notes doesn't have a user account, doesn't have a server, and doesn't send your journal entries, photos, or location data anywhere. Everything you create lives on your device, inside your own iCloud account if you choose to enable backup.
What we collect
Nothing, by default. Wonder Notes has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We don't know who you are, how often you use the app, or what you write in it.
What’s stored, and where
Entries, photos, and map data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Location data used to place your entries on the map comes from Apple's MapKit and Core Location frameworks, and is only used to display your own entries back to you. It is never transmitted to us, because there is no "us" to transmit it to — there's no backend server.
iCloud backup, if you turn it on in iOS Settings, is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. We have no access to this data.
Optional feedback
If you choose to send us feedback (for example, through an in-app form or a link to an external form), you may optionally include your email address so we can follow up. This is entirely optional, is only used to reply to you, and is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Children’s privacy
Wonder Notes is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, since it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If Wonder Notes ever changes what it collects (for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud sync feature), this policy will be updated first, and the update will be reflected in the app's version notes.
